Welcome to Elsa's 'Kale-tastic!' Personal Page
I have chosen to become an Ambassador for one of South Florida’s most ‘quacktastic’ events for one great mission: the prevention of child abuse, the preservation of the family, and the treatment of those who have been abused and/or neglected.
On Saturday, March 9th, the New River will become a sea of yellow as 35,000 yellow rubber ducks race for the Grand Prize of $10,000.
This free community event takes place from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Esplanade Park in downtown Fort Lauderdale, a full afternoon of family-friendly fun! In addition to the race, the KID Fun Zone offers families fun activities including KID Olympics, face painting, bounce houses, carnival games, and more. This year, the Duck Fest Derby is disco-themed. Guests will also enjoy great music while sampling delicious treats from some of the best food trucks in town. JOIN US!
My commitment to the KID Duck Fest Derby is much deeper than my love for rubber ducks; it is a whole-hearted commitment to support the community in which I live. I have set a goal to help raise funds because I believe in KID and the positive impact the organization makes in the lives of children and families. Please consider making your donation today.
Kids In Distress (KID) is a licensed nationally accredited agency working for prevention of child abuse, preservation of the family, and care and treatment of abused and neglected children. KID services helped more than 11,000 children and families last year through programs that focus on prevention, intervention, foster care, education, and family counseling. KID partners with corporations, organizations, municipalities, schools, and individuals to support its mission and expand services throughout South Florida.
