Wander how to help? Adopt a duck today!
I have chosen to become an Ambassador for one of South Florida’s most ‘quacktastic’ events for one great mission: the prevention of child abuse, the preservation of the family, and the treatment of those who have been abused and/or neglected.
My commitment to the KID Duck Fest Derby is much deeper than my love for rubber ducks; it is a whole-hearted commitment to support the community in which I live. I have set a goal to help raise funds because I believe in KID and the positive impact the organization makes in the lives of children and families.
ABOUT DUCK FEST
Adopt a $5 duck. Help a child. Win $10,000.
Children of all ages will enjoy a free, family-friendly, disco-themed festival filled with “quacky” activities in the KID Fun Zone including the KID Olympics, face painting, petting zoo, live entertainment, delicious food trucks, and a meet & greet with KID’s duck mascot, Splash. Then 30,000 rubber ducks will be dropped in the New River to race during the 13th Annual KID Duck Fest Derby, presented by JM Family Enterprises, Inc. Community members can buy entries in the race by forming “Duck Teams” or adopting individual ducks for $5 each. 100% of the proceeds of duck sales benefit 11,000+ children and families served by KID.
Kids In Distress (KID) is a licensed nationally accredited agency working for prevention of child abuse, preservation of the family, and care and treatment of abused and neglected children. KID services helped more than 11,000 children and families last year through programs that focus on prevention, intervention, foster care, education, and family counseling. KID partners with corporations, organizations, municipalities, schools, and individuals to support its mission and expand services throughout South Florida.
